2. Good is a player
This policy describes Good IPTV Player for Fire TV (package com.goodiptv.player) and this website. Good is a free player with no in-app purchase or subscription. We do not provide channels, films, TV shows, playlists or content subscriptions. You connect your own provider or playlist. The selected provider is responsible for its service and its own data processing.
3. Provider connection and local data
The server address and, where applicable, username and password you enter are stored on your device and sent to the provider you configure to establish the connection. If you configure your own HTTP proxy, the connection passes through it.
Viewing history, playback positions, favorites, watchlist and local profile details support the player’s features and stay on the device. You can remove them through the available app functions or the device’s app-data controls. The Fire TV version does not provide automatic support backups of provider credentials or sign-in with an operator account.
4. Technical connections to our service
Good uses the technical infrastructure at admin.telosiptv.com. Device-status requests process a random device identifier, technical app/device information and the IP address used for the connection. This supports technical operation and handling of abusive device use. Good does not require proof of purchase.
The app also sends a successful technical installation report at most once every 24 hours. It includes the device identifier, distribution source, model, system/app version, language, screen resolution and coarse device/memory information. The report supports compatibility, support and product planning. It is separate from diagnostics and is not disabled by the diagnostics switch.
The encrypted connection passes through Cloudflare to our service hosted by netcup in Germany. Network connections may involve processing of IP addresses and technical connection logs.
5. Crash reports and usage diagnostics
Good uses Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports and Firebase Analytics for usage statistics. Processing may include technical error reports and stack traces, device/system information, app versions, installation/app-instance identifiers and usage events.
Our service additionally processes fixed events about setup steps, app sections visited and session completion. These use app/system information and device/session identifiers. A previous device identifier may be included to associate a reinstallation. This path contains no freely entered search terms, stream addresses or provider credentials. The identifiers are pseudonymous; the processing is not anonymous.
Technical playback reports use fixed codes to describe items such as playback format, player, error category and coarse loading-time classes. They include a random session identifier but no device identifier, content/source identifier, channel/title name or free text.
Diagnostics are enabled when no choice has been saved. You can disable them in the app’s data/privacy settings. Functional device requests and the installation report in section 4 are separate. A transmission already in progress may still complete.
6. Voluntary support
If you submit feedback in the app, our service receives the selected category and the text you enter. The feedback form does not ask for an email address. Please do not enter credentials there.
If you contact us by email, we process your message and the contact details you provide to answer your request. Support: support@thenocompany.org.
7. Recipients and legal bases
We use netcup GmbH for hosting and Cloudflare, Inc. for network protection and forwarding. Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics are provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. Support correspondence is processed through Zoho Corporation. Cloudflare and Google may also process data outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States.
The core player function relies on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Technical diagnostics, installation reports and abuse prevention rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in a working, secure player that we can support effectively. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests under Article 21 GDPR.
8. Retention and deletion
Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports for 90 days. Our own usage-flow events and session summaries are deleted after 90 days. Installation/device-related usage-flow records and installation reports are removed 24 months after the last contact. Uninstalling the app does not immediately delete records already stored by the service.
You can request deletion or access through support. Provide only the device/installation identifier needed for matching, never your provider password.
9. Security, your rights and children
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. App connections to our service use HTTPS. The security and encryption of your chosen provider or a proxy you configure depend on those services.
Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability subject to the applicable legal conditions. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and complain to a competent data protection authority.
Good IPTV Player is intended for all age groups. Parents and guardians decide which providers and content their children use. Profiles and PIN settings support them in doing so. Technical data may also arise when minors use the app; the data paths described in sections 4 and 5 apply as well. Parents and guardians can contact support@thenocompany.org with questions and requests concerning their child’s data.
